Our Physical Therapy Department offers thorough evaluations that identify the problem areas to target during the course of the rehabilitation process. We develop a comprehensive plan of care with the goal of obtaining full recovery. Each staff member takes an active role in helping the patient gain the most from their treatment.

Andrew Lantz, PT, DPT, OCS, CMTPT and Director of Physical Therapy, earned his Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from the University of Saint Augustine in 2013.  While at Saint Augustine and during his clinical rotations, he focused heavily on manual therapy techniques and graduated with honors.  Since graduation, Andrew has completed numerous continuing education course which have helped develop his diagnostic skills, exercise prescription, and manual therapy skills which include extremity mobilization and spinal manipulation.  He has thorough experience and understanding in rehabilitation of post-operative patients such as ACL reconstruction and total joint arthroplasty.  Andrew has recently demonstrated his dedication to his profession by achieving his Orthopaedic Clinical Specialist (OCS) certification.  He is also certified in dry needling as a Certified Manual Trigger Point Therapist (CMTPT) through Myopain Seminars and certified in Selective Functional Movement Assessment (SFMA) through Functional Movement Systems.  He is dedicated to providing the highest possible level of treatment to his patients by staying up to date on current best practice in evidence based research, utilizing the knowledge gained from his certifications, and growing experience.

Matthew Peters, PT, DPT, received his Bachelor's degree in Biology from Christopher Newport University in 2008 and a Doctorate of Physical Therapy degree from Old Dominion Univeristy in 2012.  His clinical expertise is in Orthopaedics.  He is SFMA certified and will begin to work towards his TPI certification in 2018.  In the future, Matthew also hopes to get his MDT and CIMT certifications.  Matthew is a Virginia Beach native who enjoys running and spending time with his family.

Carrie Case, PT, DPT, is a native of Buffalo, NY.  She moved to Virginia Beach in her teenage years and graduated from Cox H.S.  She attended Old Dominion University where she earned her B.S. in Science (2003) and Doctorate in Physical Therapy (2006).  Over the years, she has experience treating Total Joint Replacements, Rotator Cuff repairs, Postural and Movement dysfunctions (FMS certified) and educating those on Work/Home ergonomics.  She has taken numerous continuing education courses focusing on manual techniques for the Spoince, Upper and Lower extremities.  She has also continued her education with courses on Sports  Medicine and Kinesiotaping.  Carrie grew up playing Sports and has a special interest in Sports Rehab.  She enjoys evaluating running mechanics in the clinic and has worked with numerous runners and athletes in the area.
